The "Pavillion of Friendship" as photographed on June 26, 2024 by Joseph S Reinerth. Pavillion of Friendship is the center of the Chinese Garden in the Montreal Botanical Gardens, Canada. Inaugurated in 1991 as a symbol of friendship between Montreal and Shanghai, it was designed according to Ming Dynasty principles and built by Chinese craftspeople using traditional Chinese techniques and materials. As in Chinese gardens, it is meant to be a place for quiet contemplation; a living symbol of cultural friendship, balance and serenity.
